Frustration comes when your ego and your wrong motives force you to try to become someone you were not made to be.

When you despise the place you're in, you are NOT prepared for the place you're going.

You'll be happy when you have vision.

A vision will bring fulfillment.

Purpose is the source of your vision.

Your purpose is why you are here; your vision is what you will do to accomplish your purpose.

You can talk me out of my idea, but you cant talk me out of my vision.

You are always equipped for whatever season you are in.

The deepest desires of your purpose will never leave you.  Romans 11:29

A prophet of God can confirm your vision, but a prophet cannot give you your vision.

You do not possess a vision.  A vision possesses you.

A vision is unselfish.  Always focused on someone else.  Always accompanied by compassion, and always building the kingdom.

You can mess up other people's lives by not being where you are supposed to be.

Your vision is inside of your mission.

Your vision is hidden in the places of your life you've shut down because of failures.

Inside of you is everything you need to reach God's intended ending for you.

His will is not lost or waiting to be found, it's inside of you waiting to be unleashed!

Dreams happen while you are asleep.  Vision happens when you're awake.

Achieving dreams requires you to take steps, which requires the use of your vision in order not to stumble.

You will never wish your dream into existence.  You can only WILL it into becoming real.

Vision Killers:

1. Indecision is a vision killer and a joy stealer.
2. Everything you leave unfinished will discourage you from completing other projects.
3. Claiming balance when it's really fear.
4. Trying to do everything will keep your vision unspecific.
5. Multi-talented people can have so many gifts they don't know what they should do.
6. Not recognizing the cost can kill your vision.
7. Blaming others.

Prophecy to Lee University

About mid-September 2011, the Lord spoke to me and told me that I would be going to Cleveland, TN to prophecy revival to the campus of Lee University. On Friday, October 21, I went to Cleveland not really knowing what to expect or do. The only thing I knew was God would show me where the revival would begin, and that I was to prophesy revival from that place.

As I began to walk the campus, I was led to start by praying at the Administration Building sign. I began to repent on behalf of the leadership. As I got deeper into the Spirit, I prayed God shine His light on the leadership. I prayed that the light would expose things hidden in the darkness. Not for the sake of embarrassment, but that the exposure of hidden things would bring repentance and would be removed in order that revival could come.

In other areas of the campus, I began to pray, God, shake the foundations. Shake loose all the things we have built that were not laid upon You, the Chief Cornerstone. Shake all the things we have built with pride in ourselves and were not established with a dependency upon You.

Then I was drawn to the new chapel that was at that time being built and nearly finished. I walked around the building admiring it, but felt a frustration in my spirit. The building has a stone facade, giving it an old "cathedral" feel, and its roof is of copper or brass. I walked along a sidewalk that went behind the new building. It was here the Lord began to speak very plainly to me.

I asked God, "Is this where the revival is going to start?".

The Word of the Lord to me was this, "No. This place does not represent Me. It represents them. I will not send the revival to this place, because just as it is made of stone, their hearts are made of stone. When their stony hearts melt like wax before Me, I will be merciful and send revival, but it will not start here".

Also, the Lord revealed to me that along with hearts of stone, the heavens are of brass. The same Hebrew word is used for both copper and brass, and that word has a second meaning: lust, harlotry. God said, this building is a representation of them: Stony hearts who have allowed lust and harlotry to be over them, or to have headship over them. God will send revival to the campus when the heavens of brass are pierced with intimacy and repentance.

I felt released from the new chapel, and the Lord gave me specific directions and instructions. As I moved across the campus at His word, God then said, "Pay attention to the signs." I did and continued walking. Eventually my eyes caught a dorm, up the road, to my right. The sign said, Ellis Hall. The Spirit spoke to me, Ellis... El – is. God – Present.

I walked up to the monument in the front of the building, which had been rebuilt in 1994 due to an arsonist’s fire in November of 1993. I began to pray, call out for, and prophesy revival. As I prayed, I began to pray what I heard the Spirit saying... "Let this be the birthing chamber of revival". I couldn't help but notice the number of survivors was 78 (all students survived the fire). 7 - Spiritual completion, 8 - New beginnings. I continued to declare the Word of the Lord over it.

I told the Lord, "I know what You want to do, but why? I know, because of Your love for Your people, but why this place specifically? What is special about this place?" Engraved on a cornerstone near the front door to the dorm is Psalm 90:17. It reads: "And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it." God said, "Because they asked Me to." I was reminded of the Scripture, “if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out”.

The revival that will come to Lee University will be birthed in Ellis Hall. There will be prayer meetings and times of spiritual intimacy in Ellis Hall that will pierce the brassy heavens which have developed over the campus. The light will begin to expose things hidden in the darkness that has been created by the covering of lust and harlotry, but this will also be the beginning of a fresh wave of His presence upon the campus. When He comes, He will come to consume. This will not be a time of refreshing, this will be a time of consuming. This will be a proving by fire.

I hear the Word of the Lord, saying, “I am not coming to touch a part of you, I am coming for all of you. I am coming to shake that which is loose until it falls off. I am coming to burn away that which is not able to keep in the fire. I am coming to blow away that which is not fixed to My Presence. Turn your hearts to Me. Set the stony face of your heart toward Me, and let My fire melt it into a heart of wax, moldable and pliable in My hands. I desire to fashion you as a sword. As the sword of David, I will make you strong in battle. Says the Lord”.

Lack of Spiritual Gifts - 11/1/11

On Nov 1, 2011, the Lord gave me a word regarding the lack of Spiritual Gifts and Ministry Gifts in the church. I believe we have moved into a new time frame on God's calendar. I believe this is a season of signs and wonders returning to those who dare to believe the words prophesied to them, but we must be on the producing side of things and not on the receiving end only. Here is the word given to me on 11/1/11:

The reason there is a lack of Spiritual Gifts and Ministry Gifts operating in the church is because the people have drained those anointings from those who have gained those anointings through private sacrifice. They have tapped into those anointings during times of public worship, but not sought after it in their own private sacrifice. They have stolen the anointing from those who paid the price because they were not willing to pay the price themselves. These gifts are given to the church for the growing up of the Body of Christ, not for the spoon feeding of babies. I say to the Body, “It is time to rise, kill, and eat! Grow up!” says the Lord. “Awaken yourselves from your slumber! It is the beginning of the third day. Arise, kill and eat! Strength is coming to you! Anointing is coming to you, but you must seize the day. Know, discern, and recognize the times and the seasons. Do not go into this day without the personal sacrifice.

I will repay those who have been drained of their anointing. I will require of them who have sucked dry the anointing of those who have paid the price in their private lives. Leaches who have caused my Shepherds to bleed will continue to crawl. But I am going to place a shield around my anointed. There is coming a day, a very soon day, where the anointing will not flow to those who will not grow up. My mercy is being extended, but they must seize the day while it is still light. If they will not heed the voices of the prophets I send to them, they will not continue to experience my anointing by the hand of those who pay the price. Once again, I say to the Body, ALL parts, not just congregations and not just ministers, but every living being that purposes to be the Body of Christ, rise, kill, and eat! Grow up!”

Where did you meet God?

My nephew and I had an interesting conversation the other day about his future, and mine for that matter. He's a young man full of dreams. I'm a getting older man, but still full of dreams. We started talking about his dreams and what it would take to get to them. Of course, the old "if that's what God wants, it will happen" statement came into the conversation. Me, being the "getting older" man, challenged that. Not because I think I'm wiser, but because I'm learning. I asked the "younger man" this question: Where does your obligation and God's opportunity meet?

I described to him what I believe is God's perspective of our dreams. I believe those moments when a dream starts to awaken in us is God whispering to us saying, "Hey Glyn, I've got this idea and I want to share it with you. Here it is . . . What do you think? I wanted to share this with you because I wanted to give you the opportunity to do something with it."

Here are a couple of things I've discovered:

1. People who seem to be doing the most FOR God are really just doing something WITH God. When God whispers a dream to you, He is inviting and igniting you to work with Him.

2. If God has to tell you every detailed step, then you've not been given opportunity, you've been given orders. We can get so hung up in trying to do the dream for God that we strip the opportunity down to an order, and thus discourage ourselves when we can't do it.

3. Do all you can in the human realm, and let God be responsible for all else. Let your obligation meet God's opportunity. A favorite line from a song I have been listening to lately. "The waters never part until our feet get wet!"

If it's a ministry you're dreaming of starting, go get training, experience, a 501c3, advice. If it's a business, check out the competition, loans, buildings, equipment.

I Dare You To . . .

I would be willing to bet 95% of you filled in the blank before you started reading any further. I'd also be willing to bet you filled it in with an action word, and the word you chose reflected some form of movement. So what is it that I am daring you to do...

NOTHING.

I dare you to do nothing. Sometimes nothing is all you can do, and yet nothing is everything God wants you to do. In fact, doing nothing may even be His command to you. Wow. Have you ever offered to help someone because you genuinely wanted to bless them, and when you offer, their response is, "nothing." If you're like me, that can be a little frustrating. Dog gonnit, I'm trying to help you... don't tell me I should do nothing.

Dog gonnit, God, I'm trying to help you do something, for me. Don't tell me to do nothing. Funny how we want to do as little as possible and still reap full rewards, but can't handle it if God tells us to do just that, nothing, as little as possible.

God is big enough to do things the way He wants, but He's not as bull headed as we are. He'll let us keep pushing something when what He really wants is nothing.

I dare you to . . . DO NOTHING!!

Forgive Me, I'm Not Apologizing

One thing I've tried not to do with any blog I've ever done is to complain or be negative about anything. It's never encouraging, no matter how sincere you are. However, I have to speak up and this seems to be the best place for me to get this off of my chest. So, here we go . . .

The American Music Awards seemed to cause quite a stir this year. Funny mishaps like Paula Abduhl's mic not being on to J-Lo's "leap of faith" are to be expected, it's a live performance, but the extreme over-sexed performances of a many of the artists was sickening. I only saw 1 1/2 of them.

Here is where I will not apologize . . . This is the first time I've ever even watched the AMA's, and even then I only watched about 7 minutes before it turned me off. The next day I saw several comments on a social networking site about the AMA's. The majority of them were talking about how disappointing the show and artist's were. Then a particular comment really caught my eye as it brought into question how God must have felt about Adam Lambert's performance (I won't even go there. I said it when he was on Idol, he is evil). I understood the question very well, as it was followed by a sad face :( driving home the point that God has granted him an ability to sing, perform, command attention, and draw people in, but it is being wasted. However, that to me is not the saddest part.

How God must have felt not only seeing so many talented people wasting, even abusing their talent, but also how He must have felt seeing so many of His people wasting and abusing His gift of time by watching it. Why are we shocked at what Hollywood does? Why do we continue to subject ourselves? Do we honestly think that one of these days Hollywood is going to repent (turn around 180 degrees)? I am more appalled at the fact that we are appalled byHollywood than at ourselves for indulging in it with our eyes and ears. Jesus asked what does light have to do with dark? If there is more dark than light, the light will be swallowed up by the dark? Have become so swallowed by dark? I say NO!!! We haven't. If we are still shocked then it's not too late. There is hope. But hope is not in changing Hollywood, it's in changing ourselves. Hope is in knowing that we can be a better servant of God by not allowing ourselves to be engulfed in the shadowy darkness of things in this world.

If I've hit a nerve then please forgive me, because I can't apologize.

Steps of Faith

This seems to describe exactly where Rebekah and I are, and have been for some time. I can't tell you how many times, in the last 3 days, you could have heard either of us make statements of surprise about being once again in Rome, Georgia. This isn't what we foresaw for ourselves. This isn't what we imagined as our "next move". This wasn't in the plans . . . , but I hear the Spirit whisper. . . My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. . . For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you the future you hoped for. Rebekah or I neither one "hoped for" Rome, but nevertheless it is part of our future once again.

If I were to paint you a picture of where we are right now in this walk of faith, it would be something like this: You're walking down a well lit hall with a door at the end. The door is open, but the closer you get the door begins to close, and your time is limited. As you slip through the narrowing space, you find yourself in a room with no light, and yet somehow you feel secure. The room seems empty, yet you feel satisfied. You know there will be light to come, but it is not now.

So here we are walking the same path as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. On the same journey as Joseph, and it's all in the hands of God. These days are steps of faith.

Schools In

It's school season once again. Looking back at this last year, I realize I have been in God's school. It has been a time of personal growth and learning. Actually, it has felt more like graduate classes than anything. God spoke to me some time ago that it's not about asking Him to speak when WE think we need Him to, but whether or not we're close enough to listen. In other words, don't be too cool for school. Cheesy, I know, but none the less true. It is far better to pay attention to and be aware of those ways God is speaking through what is around you than to plead and beg so loud for Him to speak that we cannot hear Him.

One thing I've noticed during these times... Scripture seems to open in a deeper way to you when your in this learning process. It's very satisfying to your soul.

Stay in School!

Seasons Change

Life is a roller coaster, to say the least, but one thing I am learning as I get older (please, no old jokes) is that life is nothing more and nothing less than a series of seasons. We had a Hospitality Department Meeting last night, and this sort of came up. After talking with the leaders in this department we all began to realize that the lull we have been feeling is not confined to just us, but the entire area is experiencing it. It's funny how we can be so arrogant as to think that anything, good or bad, is only about us. Our area has been hit by a snow storm, an ice storm, , and a financial storm. Everything seems to be in slow motion, no matter how much we add to our to do list. It's like ol' man winter has crept into every aspect of life and begun to put a freeze on more than just the air. BUT SEASONS CHANGE!

Today, for the first time in a long time, it is suppose to reach 70 degrees. The snow is all gone and now the birds are starting to sing, and the birds on the bat are starting to play (Did you really think I could talk about spring and not mention Cardinals Baseball?). SEASONS CHANGE! The natural always mirrors the supernatural... something is changing. It's time to stir, arise and shake ourselves, for winter has passed and the springtime has come. Our SEASON IS CHANGING!
